Culture Shock (Outsourced)*

We watched an English movie about culture shock . It is called Outsourced . The story is  about an employee who got promoted to a job in India. When he went there he had a shock because everything was different and new for him . The man was not used to Indian traditions and culture, but later on he figured it out. After that when he knew them and got in deep , he loved the culture and fell in love with an Indian woman, At the end he went back to his country after he learned many things to improve himself .The best part in the movie was the color spray; they threw it on each other . I learned many things from this movie about traditions and culture of India. Also I learned that I shouldn't make any barriers and I need to keep moving and know about the different cultures .

DISCRIMINATION: BLUE EYES VS. BROWN EYES

DISCRIMINATION: BLUE EYES VS. BROWN EYES

We can find discrimination in many places and different situations . We watched a movie about Jane Elliot, a teacher in primary school who tried an experiment on students. One time she chose the blue eyed students over the brown eyed that she giving them longer lunch times. But when she tried it the other way around, she was surprised because the brown eyed started being mean to the blue eyed even though they have experienced the feeling of discrimination. At the end they showed that they met each other when adult and they were thankful for their teacher and also they said that they understood the real meaning of discrimination .

Culture Movie

[Khalid, Mohamed, Abdullah, Ahmed alhashmi and Fahad]

The movie was nice in general. The video had many different ideas.  The quality of the movie was perfect. The movie started with interviewing a woman from UK and a man from South Africa . Abdullah was asking them some questions about the difference between the two cultures. The voice was not clear , so I didn’t get all the idea ,but the movie  was clear. I was impressed with Fahad’s part ;it was amazing. He was talking about  the falcon and how you can deal with it. Then they jumped to talk about  traditional things. Again Abdullah appeared with finial and showed us how they used it and how they hold the dalah in the right way. Finally Khalid and Abdullah talked about something I didn’t get it ! I don’t know why they talked about it. It was so boring. At the end Mohamed never showed in the video for even 1 second and Ahmed Alhashmi appeared just in the beginning of it
